For some years, I have been collecting photographs of faces. I was delighted to discover that when I changed around their features — swapping mouths, eyes, hair and so on — and then re-drawing them, a radically different face would usually emerge.

Curiously, the 'new' faces would, more often than not, trigger either a job or a characteristic of some kind. These then, are the results. Many of the sketches are based on people I have met. Some of them are, perhaps a little perversely, more thinly-veiled than others . . .
